The NC Second Chance Alliance is a statewide alliance of people with criminal records, their family members, service providers, congregations, community leaders and concerned citizens that have come together to address the causes of criminal records and the barriers they create to successful reentry.

Company History

Our Beginnings

Born from a desire to confront the lasting effects of mass incarceration and systemic injustice in North Carolina, the Alliance came together to create a powerful voice for change.

Since our founding, we’ve helped shape transformative legislation like the Second Chance Act (SB 562) and launched countless campaigns that center the voices of those most directly impacted by the justice system.
