Every time we show up, speak out, and stand together, we prove that advocacy creates change. At last year’s Second Chance Lobby Day, hundreds of justice-impacted individuals, allies, and organizers filled the halls of the NC General Assembly with one powerful message: North Carolina must do better.
We marched, we met face-to-face with lawmakers, and we made sure our stories were heard. And we have the photos to prove it—photos of movement, solidarity, and the belief that second chances are not just possible, they are a necessary part of criminal justice reform.
Real Impact, Real Progress. Your Advocacy Creates Change
Thanks to the voices raised in 2024, we helped push forward critical conversations around:
- Ending debt-based driver’s license suspensions
- Expanding access to criminal record relief
- Stopping the public misuse of mugshots
Legislators didn’t just hear us—they saw us. And that visibility is power.
What These Photos Show
Look closely at the moments we captured:
These are not just images—they are reminders of what we’re capable of when we act together.
Be Part of the Movement in 2025
On May 6, 2025, we’re doing it again. Bigger. Louder. Stronger.
Second Chance Advocacy Day 2025 is your opportunity to turn your story into action—and your presence into power.
Because the change we want won’t happen unless we show up to demand it.
Advocacy creates change. Be the change.
